C DIVISION EAST
Division C East leaders Uplyme and Lyme Regis won the toss and batted first on a flat pitch at mid-table Braunton.
Openers Mike Langford (30) and Mark Batey (19) were steady and played some nice shots as Uplyme reached 50 without loss. Then, due to some poor shot making and Langford being adjudged leg before, Uplyme collapsed to 64 for four.
Skipper Sam Farrow (34) and Andrew Harrison Harrison (15) steadied the ship before Farrow edged down the leg side. The rest of the wickets fell quickly and Uplyme were all out on 152 with Nick Dinnison adding useful 16.
The seven-man Braunton attack bowled tightly with four of them getting two victims apiece.
Braunton batted very sensibly and rarely looked in danger of losing many wickets. Their wicketkeeper and opener Sam Bithell batted responsibly for his 66 not out.
Skipper Farrow commented afterwards: "A disappointing performance from us. Bruanton bowled and fielded well and our batting was just not good enough on this occasion. I think 152 was 80-100 below par on that pitch and there was simply never enough runs on the board for us to build pressure with the ball. Hopefully this can be a good learning opportunity and we can put out mistakes right and get top spot back next week!"
Braunton 20 points; Uplyme and Lyme Regis 4 points.
D DIVISION EAST
Chardstock's difficult start to the season continued with their fifth defeat, losing by 106 runs at home to Shobrooke Park.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat. They got off to an impressive start with 182 runs on the board with only two wickets down. Opener Chris Simpson was in good form, hitting 83, helping Shoobroke to set a challenging total of 271 for Chardstock to chase.
Losing four wickets with only 80-odd runs on the board make it look like an impossible task, although Stuart Parris did show some resistance with a knock of 38 off 33 balls. In the end they were all out for 165 of 35 overs.
Chardstock 6 points; Shoobrooke 20 points.
F DIVISION EAST
Axminster Town 1st X1 chalked up their first maximum points victory of the season with a six-wicket victory at home to Sidbury.
The visitors lost the toss and were put in to bat, posting 192 all out in the last over. Openers Ed Chester (37) and Mark Smallacombe (36) gave them a good start and skipper Alex Paget, batting at No 4, top scored on 41. Owen Enticott was Sidbury's best bowler, finishing with the creditable figures of 5 for44 off 7.5 overs.
In reply, Axminster opener Andrew Guppy got his half century but it was veteran Paul Miller who took the batting honours with a fine knock of 84 in their victory total of 195-4.
Axminster 20 points; Sidbury 6 points.

Saturday 11th June Seaton 2nd XI v Kilmington 2nd XI
Weddings, injuries, illness and unavailability meant that Kilmington 2nd XI did well to fulfil their fixture with Seaton 2nd XI under stand in skipper Ashley Cook, writes Martin Huscroft.
Seaton batted first and a tidy first 10 overs, got away from Kilmington thanks to a 195 fourth wicket partnership between Oliver Aplin 95, 13 fours, and Bobby Dormer 129*, 20 fours and three sixes. Both batsman had moments of real luck, but 287 for 4 looked like a huge total in the context of the game.
To challenge, Kilmington needed a good start but 36-5 after 8 overs against Devon Welsh (5-14) was anything but that. A 47 run sixth wicket partnership between elder statesmen Les Baker 53* and Eddie Clarke 14, provided some respectability, and Baker, in his first game of the season, excelled himself, carrying his bat. Welsh bowled well, but pick of the bowling was young leg spinner, James Jamani, who bowled with much promise for 2-31.
To get their promotion push back on track, Kilmington will need some luck with injuries, illness and availability in the coming weeks.
