C DIVISION EAST
Uplyme and Lyme Regis maintained their lead at the top of the Division C East Division – but it was a close affair against local rivals Ottery St Mary who were just three runs short of victory in the end.
Uplyme, promoted from last season, have made a great start to the new campaign in the higher standard with three wins on the trot in a home match watched by 130 spectators.
Ottery won the toss and put the home team into bat. Uplyme's opening three – Martin Langford, Mark Batey and Joe Elsworth - went quite cheaply and it was left to wicketkeeper Anand Abhishek to steady the ship with a useful 38 before skipper Sam Farrow took charge with a glorious undefeated knock of 91, which included 14 boundaries, to steer Uplyme to a total of 231 off 45 overs and win the newly-introduced man-of-the-match award.
Ottery made a sound start and at one time looked like reaching their target, falling short by just three runs in the last over. Jonathan Triner (69) and Tom Jeacock (40) were the two batters to do the damage.
Elsworth Andrew Harrison and Langford shared the bowling honours with two victims apiece.
The victory saw Uplyme extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points over second placed Braunton.

D DIVISION EAST
Three games into the season Chardstock find themselves among a trio of sides on 32 points at the bottom of the table after losing by 41 runs at home to Feniton.
Chardstock won the toss and decided to field, dismissing Feniton for 214 runs off 33 overs thanks to some tight bowling from Robbie Hutchings (3 for 34) and Nick Taylor (3 for 43) with Alex Watson and Steve Allsopp weighing in with a couple of wickets each.
Openers Steve Allsopp (32) and Alex Watson (85) gave Chardstock a good start, putting on 131 runs, but none of the other batters put up much resistance as they slumped to 173 all out in 37 overs.
Chardstock 9 points; Feniton 20 points.
F DIVISION EAST
Chasing 207 runs, Axminster Town put up a spirited chase but fell short by just 18 run away to Sampford Peverell and Tiverton.
Axminster won the toss and out the home team into bat. They made a sound start, putting on 143 for the loss of two wickets, but got bogged down as the innings progressed, eventually finishing the 40-over innings with 207 runs on the board.
Best bowling figures for Axminster came from Alex Wraight who finished with figures of 3 for 56 off eight overs).
In reply Axminster made a steady start with the score on 143 for 3 with opener Owen Enticott (42) and Paul Miller (45) setting the pace. Matt Cheney (22) and Andrew Guppy (18) pushed things along but they ran out of overs with the score on 189.
Sampford Peverell and Tiverton 19 points; Axminster Town 7 points.
G DIVISION EAST
Seaton 2ndX1 suffered their third defeat in a row at home to Topsham St James 2nds.
The visitors won the toss and put Seaton into bat. Despite the efforts of opener Jamie Bond
(72), Seaton never really got going with the bat and were restricted to 158 for six off the 40 overs.
In reply, Topsham St James knocked off the required runs for the loss of seven wickets with Devon Welsh returning the best bowling figures of 3-47 off seven overs.
Seaton 2ndX1 6 points; Topsham St James 2ndX1 18 points.
H DIVISION EAST
Axminster Town 2nd X1 enjoyed their first win of the season with a 1-9-run victory at home to Chagford 2nd X1.
Axminster batted first and ran up a total of 167-7 in the 40 overs with Rob Murdy top scoring on 59 and 41 useful runs coming from skipper Simon Flint.
In reply, the visitors could only muster 58 runs. Kieran Downton (3-15) and Dave Hayball (3-11) were the pick of the home attack.
