Promoted Kilmington's third victory of the new season saw them take over the top spot in the Devon Cricket League's A Division.

Kilmington travelled to bottomed place Abbotskerswell where they won the toss and decided to bat, setting a total of 167 all our off 47.5 overs. Run proved to be in short supply and top scorer was Joel Seward with 41. Aussie overseas player Sam Cuconits weighed in with 26.

Seaton's good start to the season suffered a blow a 66-run defeat away to Plymstock 1st X1.

UPLYME and Lyme Regis collected only nine points from their Devon Cricket League C Division East fixture despite posting 223 runs after winning the toss and choosing to bat at Teignmouth and Sheldon.

Opener Andrew Harrison (81) and No 3 Joe Elsworth (51) gave Uplyme a good start and with 148 runs on the board with just one wicket down they looked to be heading for a healthy total. Tyler Wellman added 29 but the home attack kept things tight but none of the lower order made any significant contribution.

In reply, the home side struggled for runs early on and at 157-7 it looked as though Uplyme were on their way to victory but Teigmouth held out for a winning score of 227-8.

Uplyme's bowling soils were shared by Lahiru Abeywickrama, Tyler Wellman and Preston Hills.

Teignmouth and Shaldon 17 points, Uplyme and Lyme Regis 9 points

Nathan Copp with an unbeaten 40 made his presence felt and Rob Hutchings (31) and Richard Pyman (28) added useful runs.
