Axminster Town Under 13s 2,

Chard Town Under 13s 1 In their first Division One game of the season, the Tigers came up against a rejuvenated Chard team who defended superbly and gave the Axminster lads a tough game. After 20 minutes the Tigers went a goal down with the opposing striker poking the ball over the helpless Cian Murdy to take the lead. Axe kept playing some good football but couldn't get that final finishing shot away after hitting the bar and missing the open goal from the rebound. But just before half-time Theo Dibling showed great skill and pace before smashing the ball home from an angle in into the back of the net to make it 1-1 at half time. Going into the second half the Tigers dominated possession but were met with some solid defending on the line and blocked shots as they struggled to find a way through. With 15 minutes remaining substitute Theo Hewitt beat two defenders superbly before pulling the ball back for Theo Dibling to slot the ball home for the winner. Man-of-the-match was Theo Dibling.
