Winners of the Flamingo Pool's charity gold day at Lyme Regis Golf Club - Roger Turner, Ray Shinners and Keith Gibson

In this very difficult and trying time for all, volunteers are working hard to to keep Axminster's Flamingo Pool open and with the help and support of the town they are confident they can achieve this goal.

Without a dedicated management team, the safe re-opening of the pool would not have been possible. They have worked long and hard, under extremely difficult circumstances, and the pool team thanks them for their unstinted efforts.

East Devon District Council and police have been made aware of a proliferation of Himalayan Balsam, an invasive plant, in various rural parishes in the area.

This plant can cause ecological damage and can be considered a nuisance. As such, landowners whose land the plants are growing on have a responsibility to ensure that the plants are contained and disposed of properly and that they do not spread beyond their land.
