The children's nursery on Weycroft Avenue was targeted sometime overnight between Monday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 10.

Axminster paid their respects in a scaled-back Armistice Day service this morning (Wednesday).
Remaining socially-distanced due to COVID-19 regulations, residents gathered around the war memorial at the Minster Green for a short service led by the Reverend Geoffrey Walsh.
Having closed at the beginning to the month due to the second national lockdown, Axminster County Market will return this week having sought further guidance.
The market, held every Thursday at the Masonic Hall in South Street, will be open for food stalls only.

Skateparks and multi-use games areas across East Devon have now closed for the during of the second national lockdown.
While these facilities were initially set to remain open, general guidelines from the government and more detailed guidance from Sport England has resulted in a decision to close them until December 3.

All businesses in the town have been sent a letter from Cindy Furse, the driving force behind the Light Up Axminster organisation, giving details of all the arrangements being made.

Nearly 2,000 new coronavirus cases were confirmed last week across Devon and Cornwall.
The total confirmed number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic has shot up to 12,001 across the two counties, according to figures released on Friday.

I finished my last reminisce describing our return from our Easter visit to Wellington and Dad waiting to meet us at the bus stop.
This was a surprise as usually he was far too busy. He accompanied us through the main entrance into what is now 1st. Avenue. Then, instead of forking left in the direction of our Nissen hut he walked straight up the road and stopped outside a building that occupied the ground where today's Millwey Rise Shops stand, our new home, 14/1 Millwey Rise.
Pippins Community Centre in Axminster has reached its crowdfunding appeal target - with two days to go.
It was announced on social media that donations, along with match funding grants from Devon County Council and East Devon District Council, had exceeded their £7,000 appeal target .
It was inevitable that Moulding's Memories would include a section on the characters of Axminster.
Whilst "Walking around the streets of Axminster" in previous editions, it reminded me that a number of our roads, lanes and landmarks have been named after well-renowned personnel in Axminster. This will then lead me on to those who have devoted their energies, enthusiasm and humour to the town and community.
