Leading members of East Devon District Council were asked to consider their positions this week, during a passionate discussion on claims made by council staff that they were "bullied at work".
The three-hour debate followed a staff survey carried out in January and February of this year, which raised claims that new councillors and the new political leadership at East Devon was "seriously mistreating officers" and "unnecessarily micro-managing and causing extra workload".

The number of weekly number of coronavirus cases confirmed across Devon and Cornwall dropped last week by nearly 40 per cent, down to the lowest levels since mid-September.
The latest figures show Axminster has just four confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of March 2 and most surrounding areas now have fewer than three confirmed cases.

Devon's Guides, Rangers, Brownies and Rainbows now have the chance to be recognised for helping to protect the environment with the launch of the new Recycle Devon badge.
The new badge aims to encourage groups across Devon to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It follows the successful launch of the same badge for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in 2019.

A recommendation to introduce evening and Sunday charges to car parks in East Devon, including in Axminster, will be given further consideration.
East Devon District Council's Car Parking Task and Finish Forum (TAFF) proposed introducing a night time flat rate of £1, and for the introduction of Sunday parking charges in Ottery St Mary, Honiton and Axminster.
