The number of new coronavirus cases confirmed across Devon and Cornwall last week fell again to its lowest level since early September.

A total of 163 new cases were confirmed across the two counties last week, compared to 176 the previous week – the lowest number since the week ending September 12 – with the total cases since the start of the pandemic now standing at 47,461.

Axminster and Lyme Cancer Support will be relaunching its Nordic walking group thanks to a grant from South West Water

People with cancer have been particularly hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic; treatments have been delayed and they have been unable to see family and friends for support.

Now, Axminster and Lyme Cancer Support has received new funding from South West Water which is enabling it to re-launch its Nordic walking group providing vital support for its members within the Dorset countryside.

Following the government's 'roadmap' in further lifting COVID-19 restrictions on April 12, two thirds of Devon's Top Attractions have now re-opened their doors and are welcoming many visitors back to enjoy their outdoor facilities.

Although they are only partially open, with restrictions and limited capacity still in place, all of the attractions have reported a positive start in the first week of the season.
