All Weekend: Celebrations in the local pubs

Support Axminster pubs which will be holding a range of celebrations for the King's coronation, from barbecues to discos, special menus, competitions and more!

Saturday: Coronation of King Charles III

Watch this historic occasion on the big screen with others in the community, from 10am to 3pm at the Baptist Church in Kilmington on Saturday, May 6. Refreshments and cakes will be served or bring your own picnic. There will also be crafts and a play area for children. All welcome.

Sunday: Coronation Civic Service

All are welcome to attend the Civic Service to be held at St Mary the Virgin, or Minster Church, Axminster, to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. The service will be given by the Reverend Clive Sedgwick and will take place on Sunday, May 7 at 11am, and will be attended by local dignitaries, charity and group representatives. Refreshments will be served following the service, allowing time to mingle and celebrate the historic occasion.

Sunday: King's Coronation Picnic

A family friendly community event hosted by the Rotary Cub of Axminster, from 3pm to 6pm on the Minister Green, There will be music entertainment and activities for all ages as Axminster celebrates the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla. Bring your own picnic and celebrate!
