It was an emotional night at the Lamberts Castle Riding Club annual meeting, as members said farewell to long-standing chair Jane Rogers.

Having chaired the club for 16 years, Jane has been a stalwart at the riding club, seeing it through many changes including the world of social media.

A valued and successful member of LCRC competitive teams and a club instructor, Jane will be sorely missed in her role as chair but members hope that she will continue to ride for the club at events for many more years.

She was thanked by members and the committee at the meeting held at The Ridgeway Inn, Smallridge, following a two-course meal.

The following trophies to celebrate the achievements of some of the members were presented at the meeting.

Other winners were Rachel Collins, Sophie Johnson, Phoebe Eames, Margaret Peet and Kate Jupp. Photo by Sarah Wharton
