Axminster Football Club have postponed their next two homes games after a first team player tested positively for COVID-19 and a number are awaiting tests.

A statement on the club's website said: "The club were made aware on Sunday evening that a member of the playing staff received a positive COVID-19 test and subsequently a negative one.

"We immediately acquired professional advice and followed the guidance given. As a club, we also took the decision to immediately deep club the facility."

Last Saturday's Reserve team match was called off and the club has also postponed their first team's home again against Elburton Villa tomorrow (Saturday) and their match at Tiger Way next Wednesday (October 28th) against Bovey Tracey.
