PLANS have been submitted to reconfigure the car park at Axminster Hospital, which will see an increase of 14 spaces.
A proposal to reconfigure the car park, together with the creation of an internal access serving the hospital's Scott Rowe Building, has been submitted to East Devon District Council.
If approved, the car park will have a total of 71 spaces, including 20 specifically for hospital staff.
Other recent planning applications submitted for the Axminster area include the retention of access to highway in front garden at 6 Cridlake; erection of manure storage building at Higher Abbey Farm on Abbey Lane; and the extension of garage on east elevation of Yarty View, Lyme Close.
East Devon District Council recently granted permission for the change of use of a caravan storage area at Hunthay Farm in Axminster, to site 85 storage containers on the land.
Half of the area will continue to be used for caravan storage, permission for which was granted in 2013, and the other half will be used for the storage containers.
Other planning applications to be given the go ahead over the past month include the construction of a garage and Firs Folly, Crewkerne Road; construction of single storey side/rear extension, alteration to garage to convert to studio/store and installation of pergola to south elevation at 3 Sector Lane; construction of replacement single and two storey side extension at Pinneywood Farm, Lodge Lane; construction of detached garage/workshop at 1 Gorsebank, Crewkerne Road; construction of single storey rear extension at 6 Salway Gardens; conversion of the existing dwelling to two cottages at Coach House, Musbury Road.
