W. G. Potter Funeral Directors is situated in West Street and home to funeral directors, Julian & Karen Hussey DipFD NAFD.

They have now partnered with Axminster Nub News to launch our new Obituaries page.

Synonymous with their dignified, professional and caring service, Julian and Karen have lived in and around Axminster since 1997, having previously lived in Seaton.

Julian's career in funeral directing started at the age of 14 when he helped his step-father and mother, Eric and Joyce Dunford, at their funeral home of A. G. Down in Bridport. He began his training in Salisbury and gained experience in the Midlands before returning home.

Karen worked in Hampshire as a funeral director and met Julian whilst they were studying to become members of the British Institute of Embalmers.

Having worked closely with W. G. Potter for some while, the family purchased the business in 1992.

"Karen and I were married in Axminster Parish Church in 1995 and have been part of the community ever since"  Julian explained.

"We continue to live in the Axminster area and feel privileged to be able to support families in and around our community."

Karen added: "We are very much a local, family-orientated business which allows us the unique opportunity to give a personal service to all of the families we care for."

Julian and Karen both hold National Association of Funeral Directors' Diplomas and are active members of the Association and its committees. The NAFD is the benchmark of funeral standards, which are extremely important to them.

Known for their honest and friendly approach, Julian and Karen are always on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Further information can be found online at www.funeraldirectors.uk.com and there will always be someone to answer your call personally on 01297 34283.
