Making Axminster 'bustling' again - more good news from Trinity House

A stunning old picture has come to light showing Trinity Square in Axminster bustling with people.

The photo features Harris's Provision Stores, which traded for many years on the corner of Trinity House, now occupied by the Lou La Belle boutique in the former department store, which is being redeveloped by Axminster Property, run by enterprising Axminster businessman Ian Styles.

The photo is accompanied by the following narrative from Axminster Property: "As we approach the end of lockdown 2 there's hope that one day soon we can see the town bustle away once more.

"It's our vision that Axminster will one day soon be the town of choice to visit, meet friends, shop and (hopefully in a safe environment) enjoy the social engagement that makes a town great.

"Watch this space to see our very latest news on Trinity House and the great news it brings for Axminster.

"The attic rooms (pictured) have laid untouched probably since the early 1920s. Today they remain and can be viewed still untouched when we open up soon with our super popular tenant the [L]https://axminster.nub.news/n/axminster39s-community-waffle-house-prepares-for-big-movepL+]Community Waffle House[.L]."
