The latest crime figures released by police show there were 61 crimes in the wider Axminster area during October 2020. 

These figures compares to 51 crimes the previous month and 68 in October 2019.

From the 61 recorded incidents, 48 took place in Axminster Town and 13 in Axminster Rural, which also covers Uplyme, Kilmington, Hawkchurch, Dalwood, Stockland, Chardstock and surrounding areas.

In Axminster Town, crimes included 14 incidents of violence and sexual offences, 11 incidents of anti-social behaviour, five of criminal damage and arson, and 18 listed as 'other crimes'.

In Axminster Rural, crimes included four incidents of violence and sexual offences, three public orders, two incidents of anti-social behaviour and four 'other crimes'.

Crime figures for November 2020 have not yet been released.
