Axminster traders are pulling out all the stops to maximise the Christmas spirit in the town after month in lockdown.
All the town centre shops are being encouraged to stay open until 7.30 pm on Friday, December 18th and Tuesday, December 18th to "sprinkle some Christmas cheer".
Axminster residents are being encouraged to support their local independent shops and cafes during the festive season with take-away hot drinks and delicious treats all around town.
There is also a Christmas trail running until Wednesday, December 23rd, with the prize draw taking place the following day, promoted by Axminster Locally Totally. Voucher prizes will then be available to spend with one of the local participating traders until January 31st 2021.
And for those who like a good-sing-song at Christmas, the Axe Valley Mission Community are inviting all and sundry to a drive-in carol service at the Tesco car park on Sunday, December 13th, starting at 4.30 pm.
