The Jurassic Coaster bus, which starts in Axminster, has been named among the most eye-catching bus routes in the UK.

In a new survey by Parkdean Resorts, 150 participants were asked to watch videos from 30 popular UK bus journeys using unique eye-tracking software, to discover which routes caught the eyes of participants the most, curating a list of the most eye-catching bus journeys in the UK to ride this summer.

With summer upon us, the scenery is only getting better, and people are keen to take a look for themselves as online searches have soared 73% in the past month for scenic bus route.

First's Jurassic Coaster X53 bus route, which runs from Axminster in East Devon to Weymouth in Dorset, is officially one of the most eye-catching bus journeys in the UK, ranking fifth for coastal bus routes.

This bus route achieved a massive gaze count (a point of where a person was looking) of 1,004, and a fixation count (number of fixations within this area) of 92, crowning this bus journey among the UK's top five most eye-catching coastal bus routes and top ten overall bus routes.

The most eye-catching coastal bus route was Ryde to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

The double-decker bus stops in Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Chideock, Bridport, Poundbury, county town Dorchester, Burton Bradstock, Abbotsbury and Weymouth, offering some panoramic views of Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast.

A ride on the X53 currently falls under the government's £2 price cap until October, making it a cost-efficient way to explore the area.
