Axminster Heritage Centre is hoping to create a lasting record of how the town coped during the coronavirus lockdown.
As a unique period in modern history, the heritage centre wants to create a lasting record for future generations showing how the Axminster community came together to pull through the pandemic.
The centre has put out an appeal for those who have kept diaries during this period, as well as photographs and videos that illustrate lockdown, children's rainbow posters and posters supporting the NHS and key workers.
The centre will also be looking at making oral history recordings in the future.
A spokesperson for the centre said: "These would then all be placed into our 'Lockdown Archive' as an official record of what we in Axminster and the surrounding villages did."
Anyone with items to donate or who would be interested in curating a temporary exhibition on lockdown next year, is asked to contact Axminster Heritage Centre by emailing [email protected] or call 01297 639884.
