WORSHIPPERS from the Axe Valley Mission Community churches celebrated Harvest Festival with an outdoors service.

As a thank you to all local farmers who have continued working during the pandemic, the mission is organised a drive-in harvest festival - Harvest 2000.

The event, which had been fully assessed as covid-friendly, was held at Furzeleigh Down Farm in Cooks Lane, Axminster, on Sunday where the occupants of around 20 vehicles, including tractors, celebrated the bringing in of the harvest. Some stayed afterwards for a picnic.

The service was conducted by the team vicar, the Reverend Nicky Davis, the curate, the Reverend Tracey Voysey and the Reverend Canon Cate Edmonds, an assistant priest and Rural Dean of Honiton Deanery.
