Totally Locally, the organisation that promotes independent businesses, is leaving no stone unturned to publicise the re-opening of Axminster shops when lockdown is lifted.

Barrie Hedges, who fronts Totally Locally Axminster, has revealed details of the initiative that will get the message out that Axminster will be open for business again.

Mr Hedges said: "We have a big opportunity to push our 'shop local' message around the April 12 re-opening of shops and the outdoor/indoor hospitality relaxations that follow.

"Ric Edgell of Ric's Kitchen has kindly agreed to use his video skills to produce a short, zany piece that we can use on social media around the theme 'we're ready'.

"The idea is to film brief, fun pieces from as many traders as possible to demonstrate the process of getting ready."

The aim is to launch this the week beginning March 29. All those would like to be included should message Mr Hedges on Facebook.
