A full military funeral will be held for Axminster resident Corporal Jack Timothy Bray on Friday, August 4.

Corporal Bray and his close family made Axminster their home after being stationed in RNAS Yeovilton. He is survived by his partner Kasey and three young children.

Jack joined the army in 2011, completing training at Pirbright then Middle Wallop before being posted to 1 Regiment Army Air Corps. Originally based in Germany, Jack moved with his unit to RNAS Yeovilton in 2013.

Jack deployed regularly across the UK and abroad, from the United States to Oman and Estonia. He was an enthusiastic rugby player, enjoyed wakeboarding and had a passion for motorbikes.

Jack's military funeral will be held at The Minster, Axminster on Friday, August 4 at 12.30pm. It will include a Guard of Honour and Gun Salute outside the church and may also involve a Military Fly Past over Axminster. The cortege leaving the church will be joined by a procession of motorbikes.

The town council has warned that the town centre may see some disruption due to the scale and nature of the event.

A spokesperson said: "Whilst this will be managed to minimise any inconvenience it is hoped that everyone will understand the desire to support Jack's family, friends and military colleagues on this difficult day."
