Crews called to fire at The Cricketers

Crews were called to a domestic fire at The Cricketers in Axminster late last night (Saturday).

Crews from Axminster, Lyme Regis and Charmouth were called to the scene at 11.15pm.

On arrival, they confirmed a fire just inside the front door of the property and were able to extinguish it using two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, covering jet, thermal imaging camera and small tools.

The property was 10% damaged by fire and 100% damaged by smoke. The fire is believed to be accidental.
