More complaints have been made about the amount of dog fouling on country walks in and around Axminster.

In a recent incident, a mother posted on social media that her young son had to walk home in his underpants after falling over in dog's mess in Cloakham fields.

She said: "It was all over his shorts and up his legs. I'm fuming."

Her comments were met with a flurry of similar complaints from around the area.

One owner, who takes her dog to Trinity Hill every morning, said she had noticed that most people did not take dog mess bags with them, evidenced by the amount of mess on the footpath.

Another dog owner commented that people that walked their dogs at places like Charmouth Forest and Lamberts Castle did not think they had to clear-up after their dogs, adding: "It is absolutely disgusting everywhere."

Axminster's county councillor Ian Hall, who has condemned irresponsible dog owners several tines, has also commented on a number of anti-social issues in the area, praising the Axminster Police Team for their efforts.

He reported that a driver had been taken off the road and is helping police with their enquiries over having no tax, MOT and insurance.

Anti-social behaviour has also been dealt with at Foxhill and he was grateful for the co-operation of the public in coming forward with information.

He was also pleased that travellers had been recently moved on from the Axe Valley site.

One Facebook follower asked in attention could be given to speeding drivers using Castle Hill, especially delivery drivers.
