Calling all sports clubs in and around Axminster & Seaton

If you are sports mad or just a follower of sport in the Axminster and Seaton areas, don't miss Nub News' new sports portal.
You can view all our reports by simply visiting the Sports page on the Axminster Nub News website and you can also filter these by selecting your favourite sport, including football, cricket, tennis, bowls and sailing.
We are hoping to build the portal to cover all sports in the Axe Valley, including cricket, football, tennis, bowls, boule, croquet, sailing, swimming and athletics - but we need your help.
Make sure your club is sending in their reports and news items. You can do this by emailing [email protected], calling Philip on 07796 951 991 or by submitting your own reports online by clicking the black 'Nub It' button on our homepage.
Currently we are giving excellent coverage to the Devon Cricket Mini-League with match reports of all the games being played by Seaton, Seaton 2nds, Axminster, Kilmington, Chardstock and Uplyme & Lyme Regis.
We are also running a Top 10 batsman and bowler competition for these clubs in which the winners will receive a £125 cash prize and a trophy.
We have also started to cover pre-season football matches and with local football just about to start, we are hoping to cover the following teams:

But we need the help of your club. We would like you to submit 400 words on any first team game and 200 words on a reserves match to be sent on a Sunday. Also, keep us informed of any club news, such as new signings or presentation evenings.
We will also endeavour to take a team photo of all clubs who send in their reports regularly.
Or if there are any budding sports reporters out there who would like to cover their favourite team, get in touch with Philip Evans on the contact details above. No pay but plenty of experience, the first runs perhaps on climbing the journalistic ladder.
That's how Philip started himself, and he went on to publish club magazines for Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Sunderland.
We will also be running a Team of The Month award.
From time to time we will also be publishing sporting nostalgia features by the much-respected local writer Dick Sturch.
With other local newspapers reducing their sport content, Nub News in Axminster and Seaton will become the go-to website for sport in the Axe Valley.
We look forward to working with you.
