Axminster Tools opened the doors of its new, interactive store on Millwey Rise Industrial Estate this month.

Following an announcement towards the end of last year, the team at Axminster Tools have been working with several local firms, including Axminster Property, to relocate the store from its previous position at Trafalgar Way.

The new shop is bigger with more interactive space. For customers, this means more opportunities to get hands on with the tools available, and bigger and better in-store demonstrations.

Located next to the Axminster Tools HQ and its state-of-the-art warehouse, customers will no longer have to drive across town to collect larger items and items that are not in stock in store - everything will be available in one place.

Axminster Tools is committed to supporting the local community by providing access to creative skills that promote wellbeing and the preservation of traditional skills, many of which are part of our local heritage.

The new, larger shop will provide the perfect space to engage more groups in the community and inspire people to try something new.

To celebrate the move, Axminster Tools is holding an opening event in the new store over Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, to include live demonstrations and exclusive in-store only offers.

Berni Callery, retail manager at Axminster Tools, said: "Despite operating on a global scale, our store and the local community remain at the heart of the company. When the space became available to relocate to a bigger shop, we saw it as a great opportunity to share our passion for creativity with the wider community.

"The new shop is more interactive and has bigger and better space for in-store demonstrations. That's more opportunities for us to inspire creativity and support wellbeing locally."

Axminster Tools' former shop premises in Trafalgar Way is now being refurbished and will become the new home of Oliver Jospeh Fitness.
