Tesco's Axminster team cycled tin aid of the ARC mental health charity, helping to raise a magnificent £700.

On Saturday Helen Collins, the community liaison manager for Tesco Axminster, organised for the team to cycle 300 miles on exercise bikes in order to raise funds for ARC - Axminister's unique mental health charity which relies on donations and fundraising events in order to operate.

A team of volunteers from Arc were in store selling raffle tickets, including patron Andrew Moulding and vice-chairman Ian Hall, both local councillors, and talking to the shoppers about ARC.

Helen Collins said: "Tesco is keen to support local charities such as ARC, and there is a definitive link between mental health and physical fitness, we fell that the static bike ride is a great way to keep us fit and to raise funds for the benefit of the local community."

The ARC team of volunteers, lead by patron Andrew Moulding, would like to thank the Tesco's Axminster shoppers for their amazing support.
