The Rotary Club of Axminster recently held a successful charity wine tasting evening in the Masonic Hall. The evening raised £630 for Pippins, the much used and appreciated Community Centre in the town.

More than 50 guests enjoyed a fun evening tasting wines and being entertained and educated by Mike and Jo from Dalwood Vineyard. They enjoyed a number of superb wines from Dalwood together with some excellent wines from Italy which are marketed by Dalwood.

Rotary member Kara Borrough organised the event and provided cheese and fruit boards to accompany the wines and a raffle which had been supported with prizes from some 15 Axminster shops and businesses raised more than £200.

Incoming President John Marjoribanks thanked eveyone for their support at the end of a very enjoyable evening.
