Plans for 30 new homes on land between Beavor Lane and Three Acre Close in Axminster have been submitted to East Devon District Council.

The development, on land west of Prestaller Farm, would comprise of four homes to be access via a new private drive off Beavor Lane, and 26 to be accessed via a new road adjoining Three Acre Close.

The properties would include a mixture of one, two, three and four-bed homes, including some flats - to a maximum of two storeys – and affordable housing.

The development would also include green spaces responding to the existing vegetation and topographical contrasts of the site.

For two beds and over, a minimum of two allocated parking spaces will be provided per dwelling.

In addition, the larger properties would have either a single or double garage plus the two allocated parking spaces.

For the affordable rented homes, one parking space will be allocated, meaning there will be total of 82 parking spaces on site.

Materials used will largely include brick and render, with key buildings highlighted in stone.

Axminster Town Council will consider this planning application at its full council meeting on January 10.

Members of the public are welcome to submit comments via East Devon District Council until January 21.
