Crews from Axminster, Colyton and Seaton attended a barn fire in Musbury on Wednesday afternoon.

The crews were called at 3.15pm to reports of straw bales on fire at the farm property and attended along with the water bowser from Bridport and supporting officers.

Once on scene crews confirmed multiple large bales of straw on fire and got to work to extinguish them using two hose reel jets.

They continued to work to extinguish the bales that were on fire whilst the farmer used on-site machinery to move unaffected bales away to prevent the fire from spreading further.

The fire was eventually successful extinguished using three hose reel jets and one covering jet and crews returned to their stations at 6pm.
