Dennings Down Farm in Smallridge, near Axminster, will be taking part in OPen Farm Sunday this weekend.

Open Farm Sunday is annual open day giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about farming and the countryside, and farmers the chance to talk about what they're so proud of – British food and farming!

Dennings Down Farm will be opening its gates to the public this Sunday (June 12) from 11am to 4pm.

It is a small organic farm of 190 acres. The farm includes 30 acres of woods, about 25 acres of wildflower meadows and five ponds.

Visitors will be able to get an up close look at the farm animals, including sheep, cows, geese and hens.

They will be able to watch demonstrations of agricultural activities such as sheep shearing, beekeeping, herding sheep with the sheepdogs, and wool spinning.

There will also be tractor and trailer rides and pond dipping, and guests can also enjoy the wildflower meadows and tea and cake.

Entry is free and all are welcome.
