A crew from Axminster assisted in tackling a barn fire in Wootton Fitzpaine, near Charmouth, earlier this week.

Crews from Bridport, Charmouth and Axminster were called to the incident on Thursday, May 24.

The crews were called at 8.35pm, with one pumping appliance and the water carrier from Bridport attending, as well as engines from Charmouth and Axminster.

On arrival it was found that an electrical unit was on fire inside the barn.

Crews made the scene safe until the arrival of the electricity board.

Once the electric had been disconnected crews extinguished the fire
