Axe Valley Academy has announced its plans for the return of students amid heightened national concern over the coronavirus pandemic.

The school will be closed tomorrow (Monday, January 4) to all pupils, with only critical worker, vulnerable and ECHP children returning later this week.

All other students will be able to access remote learning from home.

On the week commencing January 11, Year 10 and 11 pupils will return to school for face-to-face lessons, with others continuing remote learning.

All year groups will return on the week commencing January 18.

Pupils with consent will undergo lateral flow testing for COVID-19, starting from this week. Pupils should not attend school if they have coronavirus symptoms.

Free school meal vouchers will be available for those learning from home.
