A35 closed to repair burst water main

A stretch of the A35 between Axminster and Honiton is closed to allow for emergency repairs to be carried out to a burst water main.

The road has been closed through Wilmington, from Old Taunton Road in Shute to Tower Road in Honiton, for most of the afternoon.

This is affecting traffic between Honiton and Axminster with diversions in place taking eastbound traffic along the A30 from Yarcombe to Chard and joining the A35 at Axminster.

Westbound traffic should follow the diversion in reverse.
