So here we are at the start of another new year.

What is supposed to be an exciting time of new horizons, new possibilities and new opportunities, is instead a time of uncertainty and concern as we all wait to see if the Government will announce any new COVID restrictions.

This is a worrying time for entertainment venues, like The Axminster Guildhall, who were hoping that 2022 could be a fresh start to try and re-grow business, after a dreadful couple of years.

The Guildhall itself has already committed to 2022 being its biggest year with more shows and events than ever before!

At the time of writing we have 18 shows planned, with another hand-full in the organising stage! When you add to this fantastic shows from both Axminster Musical Theatre and Axminster Drama Club, then The Guildhall is offering an amazing selection of entertainment this year.

Which is where we need your help and support. We have had so many great comments and lovely feedback from local residents saying "how nice it is to see The Guildhall being fully utilised", "how great to see so many shows", and "I can't believe you have Omid Djalili and Dom Joly".

Which shows us that we are on the right track, but to continue to encourage these acts and others into the town, we need ticket sales.

As already mentioned, it is an unsettling time, but should we have to cancel any show due to COVID regulations, then all audience members would be offered a replacement or refund, meaning you can book with confidence.

We have already started taking bookings for 2023 and are looking at trying to secure some big names/shows, we can only do this if 2022 can be successful so please help support us by either booking tickets for yourself or just simply letting people know the great shows we have coming up.

As well as some great shows coming this year, 2022 is also the year for The Guildhall to receive a big makeover.

In January we will be closed for a short period, whilst the entrance, the lobby, the stairs, the toilets and the hall all get a new coat of paint and we are also having a brand-new bespoke Axminster Carpet fitted. A new look for a new year.

Shows coming in 2022, more information and tickets can be found at our brand-new website www.axminster-guildhall.co.uk
