Axminster Town has appointed a goalkeeper coach prior to the delayed starting of the South West Peninsular League Premier division.

The Tigers have announced that Darren Rozier will join the first team coaching staff, led by Josh Stunnell.

Darren is a qualified UEFA B qualified coach and L2 GK coach.

He currently manages a local youth team in Exeter and coaches goalkeepers at the Exeter City performance centre.

This is the second new appointment the Tigers have made in recent weeks with Dany Prettejohn, former manager at Upottery, accepting the post as manager for the reformed Axminster Reserves who will play in the Devon & Exeter League.

The club will announce any new signings when a date is agreed for the start of the 2020-21 season.

Whilst there is no indication yet about the date when local football can start again, the Football Association has sanctioned training sessions for two or more groups of six (with each group including a coach) involved in the session, as long as the groups are kept separate, and everyone is socially distancing.
