The Castle Inn in Victoria Place, Axminster, has confirmed it will be reopening on Saturday, July 4 with a new way of running the pub whilst strict social distancing continues.

Mine hosts Ben and Zoe have announced they have used the lockdown period to "curate the new way the pub will work".

In a statement on social media, they said: "We will not be running a reservation system. Unfortunately, we will not be able to welcome under 18s at this time until restrictions are lifted.

"We open at 11am every day, 12 noon on on Sundays. So please join us as you usually would. All other regulations will be clear on arrival.

"We so look forward to welcoming our friends, family and fabulous customers back to The Castle where we have spent the past three and a half years creating the best memories."
