Axminster Town Ladies are making history as the first football team from the club to make it to the FA Cup.

Women's football is breaking all records of attendance, support, sponsorship and media coverage - helping grassroots teams like The Tigers break the glass ceiling.

This season nearly 50 local businesses - from accountants to electricians - support the team through sponsorships after following the successful progression and growth of the Tigers' Ladies under new manager Russell Weller.

The ladies received a bye on September 12 and progress to the second qualifying round of the Women's Vitality FA Cup, on Sunday, October at Tiger Way (kick-off 2 pm).

The club is hoping all their supporters will be present to watch history in the making as the ladies attempt to progress into the third round.

The team have made strong start started to their league programme with a 9-0 win away to Bradninch FC, followed by a 4-3 win over Exeter City Development,
