As more and more events are being organised locally Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Axminster each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

Go back in time with Axminster Heritage

Today (Thursday), residents and visitors can experience a Georgian Coffee House on the Minster Green and in the Bradshaw Meeting Room of Axminster Heritage Centre, up until 4pm.

Coffee, hot chocolate, teas, cakes and savouries will be available, along with craft demonstrations and a 'Silent Auction of Teapots', with Axminster Heritage volunteers and supporters in Georgian costume.

Enjoy Friday night take-out from Kaupeka

Wild café Kaupeka, which saw tremendous success during its first summer based in Trinity Hill Woods, will be hosting its first takeaway night on Friday, October 8.

The café will be serving up chicken and vegan curries with side dishes from 5pm til 8.30pm.

Find support at the Blokes' Brunch

Axminster & Lyme Cancer Support will be hosting their Blokes' Brunch for men only at Ric's Kitchen on Saturday, October 9.

Men who have been affected by cancer are encouraged to come along, talk about their experiences and find support. There will also be a talk by guest speaker Dr Nick Hodges.
