Plastic Free Axminster got into the festive spirit on Saturday as it hosted an Christmas Eco Fair.

The event was held in Axminster Guildhall, offering visitors a wide selection of pre-loved and eco-friendly Christmas gifts and decorations from local craftspeople, businesses and organisations.

Among the stalls was the No Toy Left Behind campaign, which revamps pre-loved toys to a high quality to cut down on landfill waste.

No Toy Left Behind will soon be opening its own dedicated space at The Pippins Centre in Axminster and will be showing around supporters between 9am and 12noon on Wednesday, December 15.

Kay Pike of Plastic Free Axminster, who organise the Christmas Eco Fair, said: "On behalf of the steering group, I wanted to say a big, big thank you to everyone who made our first Christmas Eco Fair a happy event.

"Considering the very iffy weather, it was such a relief that all stallholders made it and that the public also stepped out to support us!

"I have to name our team of volunteers because they deserve it - raffle meisters Jo Thomas and Penny Easton, stewards Andy Rogie and Andy Wilson, Denise Otreba and Irene Wilson, Chris Gorst, Millie Wilson for designing and running the children's activities corner, and Claire Rogie for being our first aider.

"Final thank you to Axminster Town Council and the Co-op for supporting us too."
