Latest figures show 45 crimes reported in Axminster in April

Latest police figures have reported that there were 45 recorded crimes in the Axminster area in April.
These figures have decreased from 74 crimes the previous month and are relatively equal to the 43 reported during the same month the previous year.
From the 45 recorded incidents in April 2021, 28 took place in Axminster Town and 17 in Axminster Rural, which also covers Uplyme, Kilmington, Hawkchurch, Dalwood, Stockland, Chardstock and surrounding areas.
In Axminster Town, crimes included nine incidents of violence and sexual offences, six of anti-social behaviour, four shoplifting, and nine listed as 'other crime'.
In Axminster Rural, crimes included six incidents of violence and sexual offences, three of anti-social behaviour, two burglaries, and six listed as 'other crime'.
Crime figures for May 2021 have not yet been released.
