A flower festival is being held in Axminster this weekend in support of the celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the town's war memorial.

The centenary celebrations are being organised by the Axminster branch of the Royal British Legion with a procession through the town and then a service of the Minster Green.

In support of the occasion, a flower festival is being held in St Mary's Parish Church on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Entry will be free but donations will be gratefully received to help with the upkeep of the church.

The festival is being sponsored by Axminster Care Service, Axminster Flower Club, Axminster Printing Co Ltd., Axe Skip Hire, Cloud Nine Florists, Kilmington Self Storage, Scott Rowe Solicitors and Symonds and Sampson estate agents.
