Axminster and Chard fire crews were called to a single vehicle collision at Weycroft Bridge today, in which a woman was trapped in her car.

The crews were called at 2.58pm to reports of a car having rolled on the A358 near All Saints, along with a heavy rescue vehicle from Yeovil fire station.

Crews used small tools, a reciprocating saw and a trauma pack and assisted paramedics with the extrication of the woman, who was then taken to hospital.
